Work as a Safety Observer/Spotter Course Information

This course is designed for workers who are required to act as a safety observer (spotter) during high-risk work involving mobile plant, equipment, or tasks conducted near exclusion zones. The role of the spotter is to maintain continuous observation of the work being carried out and to provide immediate feedback to operators when hazards arise.

What you’ll learn:

Entry Requirements:

  • You must be at least 18 years of age
  • Have basic English literacy and numeracy skills

  • Enclosed shoes and suitable workwear
  • Your own lunch, water, and snacks
