Vehicle Loading Crane Course Information

This course provides learners with the skills and knowledge required to safely operate a vehicle loading crane with a capacity of less than 10 metre tonnes, which does not require a high-risk work licence. This training is ideal for those working in transport, delivery, logistics, or construction environments where truck mounted cranes are operated within the under-licence threshold.

What you’ll learn:

• Planning and preparing for lifting operations
• Conducting pre-start inspections and safety checks
• Selecting appropriate lifting gear
• Reading load plates and understanding crane limitations
• Safe operating techniques
• Hazard identification and risk control
• Shutting down and securing the crane after use
• WHS responsibilities and safe work procedures

Entry Requirements:

• You must be at least 18 years of age
• Have basic English literacy and numeracy skills

What to Bring:

• 100 points of ID
• Enclosed shoes and suitable workwear
• Your own lunch, water, and snacks
